Where It All Began
A Recipe Passed Down with Love
Long before Mom & Dot Cookies, there was Tina — the heart of her family kitchen.
Tina was born in Tacoma, Washington, and eventually moved to Harlingen, Texas. Tina learned to bake from her mother and grandmother. One of her most treasured keepsakes was a handwritten Rolodex of family recipes passed down from her grandmother, Blanche Malone.
Blanche's recipes were more than instructions — they were pieces of family history. Tina treasured those handwritten recipes and spent weekends and holidays baking for the people she loved.
Her famous chocolate chip cookies were always a favorite.
Food was her love language.
She shared her cookies with family, friends, and even the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers she rode with. When her son was away at military boarding school, she carefully packed her cookies and sent them as little pieces of home.
That treasured recipe made its way from Blanche to Tina, and through Tina, it became part of our family's story. Today, we are honored to carry that tradition forward through Mom & Dot Cookies.
